The Pulse Frequency Transformer (PFT) and Audio Frequency Transformer (AFT) are specialized transformers designed for specific applications. PFTs are used in power electronics to transfer high frequency electrical energy, while AFTs are used in audio systems to boost or reduce the voltage of audio signals. Induction regulators and tap changing transformers are both types of electrical transformers but they have some differences:nn1) Induction Regulator: It is a single-phase transformer that uses the principle of auto-transformer for voltage regulation. The primary winding and secondary winding are connected in series, allowing it to regulate output voltage by varying the current through the windings. However, induction regulators have limited capacity and are not efficient at full load.nn2) Tap Changing Transformer: It is a multi-phase transformer with multiple taps on its windings that allow changing the turns ratio for adjusting output voltage. This type of transformer has higher capacity and efficiency compared to induction regulators, but it requires more complex design and is more expensive.n
