Duplex coils and hook switches are used in telephone systems to allow full-duplex communication, which means both parties can talk and listen at the same time. The duplex coil is a device that enables current flow in one direction during transmission and in the opposite direction during reception, while the hook switch completes the circuit when the receiver is lifted or hung up.

What is the basic principal, by which DC voltage level is increased more than the supplied AC voltage during conversion. As upto AC level it is contorrled by firing anlge but after maximum level how is it possible.Please clear picture. OR we have to supply the higher level AC?
