Prerequisites for testing client-server and web applications include:
1. A working development environment setup with the application installed.
2. Required credentials (username and password) to access the application.
3. Understanding of the application's business logic and user roles.
4. Test data that covers various scenarios, including normal flow, error conditions, and edge cases.
5. Test tools and testing frameworks suitable for the type of application being tested (manual or automated).
6. Access to necessary test environments such as staging, UAT, and production.
