Explain the line "All that glitters is not gold"

Usually this line came from the gold business line.
The precious metal that glitter in its unique way, when it is mixed with other metals its glitterati changes according to the metal mixed it with. Due to the metal costs much than the other metal and it has traditional value associated with it. People often mixes it with other metals and sells. To check and buy or trade while, the precautionary line is said 'all that glitters is not pure gold but mixed with other metals'. The pure gold glitters in its unique way.
