What happens if we check 'exclusive' indication in access sequence, and what happens if we do not check?

if we check exclusive indication, systems finds valid condition record for the condition type, it will not move to next key combination for further search.
if we uncheck exclusive indication,system will keep on searching for valid condition record & finally it takes last key combination.
