Answer: 2 white socks selected randomly
As in darkness only white socks are visible so as per probability of viewing white socks were picked now the remaining socks are as follows:
12-2=10, now 6 white socks subtract by 2 = 4 white socks and other 6 black socks so total =10 socks.
