Answer Posted / trivikram
Service Items are those items which provide service as stand alone like Subscription or Usage and which provide service support to serviceable products - like warranties/extended warranties. Please refer the Service Contracts/Inventory Implementation guide on how to setup these items.
Your Serviceable items are those items which are can be serviced in case of faults or issues through service center, Depot or Field repair technician. Usually these are your finished goods (tangible/Physical). These should be enabled for Contract coverage and Installed Base trackable. Refer Service Contracts/Inventory implementation guide to setup these items.
