what is the difference between pfile and spfile
Answer Posted / ramanji436
-->Below oracle 8 version pfile is there. And contain the database initialization parameters.
Pfile is static parameter file and we can edit by using text editor. For each modification we need to restart the profile for change replications.
-->The spfile also contain db initialization parameters but it is binary file and no need to restart the profile if any changes done.
