Every software must have SRS .its important because rest of the design is going to design based on that srs,. it work as mediator between customer and software designer,not only that
it will work as blue print for designer ,based on that he will going to design required software
now
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:' the things which are going to implement during the coding and design time, that is mainly ******ALL REQUIREMENTS OF THE CUSTOMER
LIKE EX .consider bank online,
then like saving, debet,cradit,payment,receipt, transfor from one account to another account, these all are functional requirements
NON FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: these are the requirements which are not being asked by customer but the designer will include to make it better software like SECURITY
PORTABILITY,MAINtainability, ect.. actually there is no use for customers from this non functional requirements but these are very important for that particular customer from getting hacked by others
