Why we use mostly circular coil in transformer? not square or
rectangular type of coil.

The excessive leakage flux produced during shirt circuit and over load and developed mechanical stress for The coil.
On circular coil these force are radial and these is no tendency for The coil to change its shape.
But on rectangular coil The force are perpendicular to The conductor and tends to deform The coil in circular form.
