What is the difference between Blend uniformtiy and content
uniformtiy ?
Answer Posted / priyanka_puri
content uniformity is a chemical test performed on finished pharmaceutical formulations.. whereas blend uniformity is the process which should be properly done in order to achieve best therapeutic efficacy of the desired product which has to be formulated when the blend is properly mixed and is uniform. for eg: during the preparation of PCM tablets blend uniformity is a process prior to main compression so that we can achieve the desired amount in the punched formulated tablet (lets say 500mg).
