curing of concrete why 7day's,14day's 21day's 28days
Answer Posted / mohd. asif zafar
Concrete is tested on 7th, 14th 21th or on 28th day in order to ensure that the day of testing is a working day. Suppose the cubes are casted on Monday, then the testing day i.e. 7th day after casting will again fall on Monday. Since on most of the places there is no work on Sunday, therefore no cube will be casted on Sunday and thus there will be no cube for testing on the next Sunday. Because of this this has become practice throughout the world to do testing on 7th, 14th, 21st or 28th day.. Lateron it was made standard for testing of concrete to perform testing after these days.
