Bus duct are the hollow conductors used to transfer electrical power and used for high current .These are hollow because flow of the high current exhibits small amount of current passing through the middle of conductor due to skin effect . As to save conductor material and cost these are made to be hollow .

Practical condition in 400KV Sub station:- Breaker(open) , isolator(open), Earthing (close) at both end e.g A & B.
