I do not understand why people are posting wrong answers!!! Try to understand the basics first. Would a fuse carry the rated current if it has high resistance!! No. The sole purpose of the fuse is to melt and disconnect as soon as there is a surge of current ot short circuit and that is why it has a low melting point than the rest of the circuit coz it has to melt first. It carties the rated current why would it have high resistance???? The answer is low res and low bp. Many of the books have wrong answers even some good publishers.
