difference between prompts,filters,inputcontrols.three are filters.but exactly in which situation three are used.not in definition wise.tell me in scenario wise.

According to my knowledge there are same but different options using in web Intelligence report.
Based on the user requirement we use Prompt or Filter or Input control.
In Prompt the user should maintain mandatory prompt or optional prompt
in Filter we can user Report, Quick and graphical filter
Input control is used for Report and Quick Filer at a time
