how can we minimize the off load losses of a distribution transformer which is required to be energized 24x7 ?? capacity of the T/F is 1250 KVA and off load losses are around 2.0 KW.. can we use capacitor bank at the secondary of such a T/F to overcome off load losses? please elaborate briefly...thanks 2
In alternator generally we give DC voltage to field of alternator but field (excitor)produce Ac & converts into DC by rotating rectifier(RR ) then fed to rotor .my question is why we cannot give dc voltage directly to rotor instead of Excitor & RR ? 1
