Target strength for mix proportioning
f’ck = fck + 1.65 s
Where
f’ck = Target average compressive strength at 28 days,
fck = Characteristic compressive strength at 28 days,
s= Standard deviation = 5 (IS 10262:2009, table 1)
From Table 1 ( IS 10262:2009, Clause 3.2)
f’ck = 30 + 1.65 * 5
= 38.25 N/mm2
2: It should attain target mean strength
