how to calculate 1:2:4 ratio concrete cement, sand, metal
and water please give me brief calculation
Answer Posted / laxmikant kirpankar
DENSE VOLUME OF 1 M3 OF 1:2:4 m15 Conc.=1.52m3 approx.
Ratio (1+2+4)=7
=1.52/7= 0.22m3 Cement required for 1m3 of conc
Proportion(1:2:4)
1 Part of Cement=( 1x0.22=0.22 m3 Cement required for 1m3)
2 part of sand =(2x0.22= 0.44m3 Sand required for 1m3)
4 Part of aggregate=( 4x0.22=0.88m3 Aggregate for 1m3)
Note: Volume of 1 Bag of Cement = 0.035m3
Hence 0.22m3/ 0.035= 6.28 Bags of cement required for 1m3 of concrete
