lapping is provided when the main steel is generally not enough for the span I.e more than 12 m r/f is provided
for 8 mm -400mm
10mm-500mm
12mm-600mm
16mm-800mm
20-1200mm
DEVELOPMENT LENGTH: is the length of the vertical steel generally taken as a L shape ..this length is critical as compression is higher on this point ..
