What are the best practices while building a Cognos Framework Manager Package ?
As in, what calculations would you not like to be handled in FM and rather get it directly from Database.

I would say, push ALL the calculations that are used in multiple reports onto DB server. The allows Cognos server to just 'read' data instead of 'calculate' date.
Use the powerful analytical functions and other rendering features of Cognos to enrich the user experience
