how many 1st class bricks in 1cu feet?

as we know that 1cft has 13.5 so we think that how is it? ,as we know that standard dimensions of brick are as 9"x4.5"x3" .so if we multiply it [9x4.5x3] so we get 121.5 cu.inch ,so now as we know that 1ft has 12" ,thus 1cft[12x12x12]= 1728" . so now if we divide [ volume of 1cft/volume of 1 brick]= 1728/121.5 = 14.22 no.s of bricks but these no.of that we have got up are with out morter.but in reality on site when we add moter of about [1/4"] layer on its upper, lower, right and on its left side so its its lengyh and its depth increases from 9"to 9.5" and depth from 3" to 3.5" [9"+1/4"+1/4" and 3"+1/4"+1/4"] so if we calculate its volume now [9.5"x4.5"x3.5"] we get 149.625" ,now if we divide 1728"/149.625"we get 11.5 nos say 12 nos so hen we brought from market it some bricks damages or some are use for special purposes i.e for makink queen or king closer, so we consider 13.5 nos of bricks in 1 cft . i hope you will be happy to see my best ans. wish you all the best
