An RTD is 'calibrated' by heating or cooling it to various
temperatures, measuring its resistance at those
temperatures, and the recording and analyzing the measurment
results.
An RTD's performance can not be adjusted like a temperature
transmitter's output can be adjusted, but its performance
can indeed be measured in a periodic calibration.
