How to calculate the cement, sand quantity for plastering?
(10'x10')10mm thick ratio 1:5. wht"s the formula?

Answer Posted / n.arunkumar

CONVERTION=10/3.28=3.05m
THICK=10/1000=0.01m

PLASTERING AREA IN VOLUME =3.05*3.05*.010

=0.093 cum
WET VOLUME OF MORTAR=1.27

TOTAL VOLUME=1.27*.093
=0.118cum

UNIT WEIGHT OF CEMENT=1440kg/cum

CEMENT IN BAGS=(0.118cum/5)*1440KG/cum
=33.98kg/50kg
=0.67 bags SAY 1bagS

SAND REQUIRED=(0.118/5)*5
=0.118cum*35.28=4.16 CFT
