Can we assign generated profiles to users directly?

we cant directly assign the generate profile to user
directly.
wecan assign the generate profile to any existing role or
new role then, it can be assign to user.
only SAP standed profiles like SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles
can assign the user directly.
