flow transmitter range is 0 -500 mmwcc but the transmitter
shows 12 ma for o mmwc instead of 4 ma ...how to solve this
problem when we apply 375 mmwc it shows 16 ma

Answer Posted / dinesh

the transfer function should have been square root but the transfer function mentioned is linear which is as follows

y=mx+c where m is slope & c is the bias
to calculate slope
m={(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)} where
y2=16ma; y1=12 ma; x2=375 mmwc; x1=0 & C is 12ma at 0 mmwc

so y= (4/375)*x + 12

in order to get correct flow change the transfer function to square root in Tx
