how we are selecting the dissolution medium volume like
250ml, 500ml, 900ml, 1000ml?
Answer Posted / manish kumar rai
The volume of disso media is basically the sink condition of the drug substance for which dissolution is to be done. Generally 3 to 5 times volume that require in order to form a saturated solution of said drug. Let a drug substance forms a saturated solution using 300 ml then for dissolution of such drug formulation required at least 900 ml or more disso media.
