The mapping designer does not allow multiple active transformations or one active and one passive transformation to get connected to same downstream transformation. It would throw an error saying Informatica cannot concatenate the rows passed. However sequence generator is an exception. The mapping designer allows two passive trasnformations to connect to same downstream as passive transformation does not change the number of rows.
