A monkey will climb a distance of 4m in every 2 minutes
(lets call it 1 cycle of climbing 6m and slipping 2m)

so it will take a total of 12 such cycles for it reach 48m
i.e. 24 minutes.

now it has to cover another 4 meters to reach the top.

So

it covers 6m in 1 minute i.e 6m in 60 sec.

so it covers 1 m in 60/6 sec i.e 10 sec.
so it covers 4 m in 10*4=40 sec.

So in total it takes 24 minutes and 40 seconds.

falling height is proportional to square of the time. one object falls 64cm in 2sec than in 6sec from how much height the object will fall.
