Elements are considered as lumped when their size is very small compared to the wavelength of applied signal.eg:capacitors,resistors,inductors etc..Distributed elements are those which are electrically separable. eg:transmission line has distributed resistance,inductance & capacitance along its length..

The function of a transistor used in any of the ics is to perform switching action and not amplification. Then why diodes are not used instead of transistors as diodes also exhibit the same switching action?

y neutal is required for 3 phase. neutral carrys only current or voltage. in 3 phase circuits.
