1 pap and chap(quite easy but need on line answer)
2 chap and ms-chap(plz describe briefly)

I think we shall understand PAP in away that it transmit
username and password inform of plain text while CHAP will
not. I sends encrypted password which will have to be
decrypted on destination. Here we mean chap is more secure
than pap in away that any one on the link trying to use
analyzer software cannot acquire the password on transit.
