In an examination, 35% of the students passed and 455 failed.
How many students appeared for the examination?
Answer Posted / marvin
Total no of students failed = 65% (100-35% who passed)
so
455/65=7, which is equal to 1% of total strength.
Total no of students passed is 35%, So
7*35=245.
So Total Students is equal to
245+455= 700.
