For an 100kw generator, only 50kw of load is connected.
will the generator generate only 50kw or 100kw. if it
generate 100kw what happens to rest of the 50kw. what
happens if we connect more than 100kw of load?

First one thing understand clearly.Generator Generates only
voltage say 11kV for ex .. so it will convert to power its
depends on the load. so if the Load increases automatically
generator terminal voltage will go down & Frequency (speed)
.so you have to increase the excitation voltage to maintain
the terminal voltage normal , if the load is less u can
reduce the excitation no need of wasting external power
(excitation voltage) also.
so i guess if the load is low r high..there is no change in
generator generation it will generate the fixed voltage ..
and the Bill will maintained only usage not generation so i
if they used 50 kw they will charge for the same , remaining
50 kw u have saved.thats it..
Please leave a commnent for this :)
