why the generating voltage in India is 11kV or why is it be
transmitted as multiples of 11

it is also 22 kv it depends on form factor but its not only the reason due to which its been choosen. theres are technical problem situated with it as we increase the generating voltage we have to increase the sige of turbines and also passive element used in it. it is 110 kv in usa and 220 kv in europe.
its not true that in every station its been generated at 11 kv
it is 13 kv in orba ntpc then it is converted to 11 kv.
