1.Why we use choke? If we use for high starting voltage then
different type choke gives different voltage. Is it correct?

Answer Posted / pamukumar

Choke is basically a
inductor and it
opposes the fall and
rise in the voltage.
E.g.- in old tube
light it lights if we
remove its starter
from ckt.
And if it provides
high statring voltage
than why a tube light
having choke and
starter doesn't glows
if we supplies loe
voltage than
rated....?
