DHCP :which works on DORA (discover offer request acknowledgement).It is used to assign ip address automatically from the range given by an administrator in DHCP server(scope).This service will reduce administrative work.
If you installed DHCP in server and configured the ip range
to use for the clients it will do dynamically ip
configuration to the client.
Disadvantage of DHCP: There will be no fixed ip addresses assigned to PC (generally if we dont know the PC name we will try to RDP using IP but in this case we cant, because there is a chance to change the ip)
