How do we create Links & Segments in Cognos Framework Manager?

Steps to Create a Segment:
1)Click the folder or namespace you want to divide, and from
the Project menu, click Create Segment.
We recommend that you accept the default settings for the
project name.
2)To rename the segment, in the Project Name box, type a
different name.
This does not change the folder name. If you want to rename
the folder, you should rename it in Project Viewer before
creating the segment.
For ease of use, we recommend keeping the same name for both
the folder and the segment.
3) To add the segment to a source control repository, do the
following:
Click Repository.
In the Repository Settings pane, select the Add to
Repository check box. In the Connection list, choose either
to use an existing connection, or configure a new repository
connection .
4)Click OK.
The Project Viewer is refreshed and the icons representing
the segmented folder or the segmented namespace are shown.
Steps to create a Link:
1)In the Project Viewer, click the project, segment,
namespace, or folder that you want to link to.
Tip: You can create links only to folders, namespaces,
projects, or segments.
2)From the Project menu, click Link Segment.
3)Locate and click the .cpf file of the project that
contains the object that you want to link to.
4)Click Open.
If the project you selected requires upgrading, you are
prompted. For more information, see Upgrading Models.
If the project or repository connection uses a mapped drive
letter, you are prompted to keep the mapped drive letter or
to change it to a UNC path.
You must choose the UNC path if your project will be shared
by others.
5)Choose the project, segment, namespace, or folder to link
to:
To link to another project, click Add Project, locate the
.cpf file and click Open. Select the project and click Add.
To link to a segment, click the segment and click Add.
6)Click OK.
A new folder appears in the Project Viewer.

can anybody explain me about sales project in cognos..wt is the requirement,how u get the requirement..explain me any one based on ur experience as a report developer..how much time u will take to complete one project,single person in a team have to do how many reports..in a real time how much time will take to complete reports ie..one single report.. After applying date prompt and when we run the report we
fet from date and todate prompts..so when we enter
todate It is possible to test 2 query subjects at a time in CRN1.1
& C8 FWM? A product manager is analysing the sales made for each
product, he has requested a report containing data for
specific products. To do this we will create a report that
includes a prompt page that filters on specific products
