How to distinguish between the armature wires with the field wires of a Dc motor ?
Answer Posted / mrinal kumar
Field wire/ winding- it is used as a primary source of flux when current is passed through it. It is also called as exciting current. The current flowing through it is always dc.
Armature wire/ winding-it is an arrangement of conductors in which emf is induced. Practically armature winding is placed on the stator while field winding is placed on the rotor
