I have flow transmiter DP range is 0 to
5000mmwc,(convert) Display to be show in
m3/Hr.
Answer Posted / kirubakaran
example:
50% range =squareroot of(d.p/max-min)
50/100 = square root of(dp/5000-0)
take square on both side
2500*5000/10000= d.p(differential pressure)
1250mmwc= d.p
similiarly find 0%,25%,75%,100% this is for square root output
pls see range in dcs example 0-50ton
then put corresponding value
range o/p(ma) mmwc tons
0% 4 0 0
25% 8 312.5 12.5
50% 12 1250 25
75% 16 2812.5 37.5
100% 20 5000 50
if u feel correct means follow this

A DP transmitter is used to measure the level of an open tank. The drain line of the tank is connected to a control valve, and is configured as, if the level of the tank is 90% the valve should get open 10%. And if the tank level is 10%, the valve should get open 90%. Draw wiring diagram and explain how to configure DP transmitter and control valve using HART communicator. If the span error at output is 1%, what will be the %opening of the control valve at 60% level of the tank?
