what are the difference between protection class CT and
Class PS CT
Answer Posted / vikas
The main difference between Protection Class CT and Class
PS CT is the accuracy level. Accuracy level of a Protection
class CT is higher then that of PS class.
Both Protection class as well as PS class can be used in
both metering as well as in Protection Purpose, depends
upon the criticality of the protection. But generally
Protection class CT is used for Protection purpose whereas
PS class CT is used for Metering purpose (in India).
In foreign projects, only Protection class CT's are used,
no PS class CT is there.
