We have 3 Gensets 1.500kva,2.380kva,3.250kva How can we
connect in common busbar&we have variable load.
Answer Posted / milinda4p
to connect 2 or more generators to a common bus those
generators should be synchronised.it means
1. frequency should be same (every generator should operate
in same frequency)
2.voltage magnitudes should be same at each bus (i:e if the
generators have different rated voltage outputs correct
transformers should be used to get the same voltages at the bus)
but the POWER RATING is not going to cause any problem for
synchronizing
But in supplying a load after connecting it is important to
adjust the power supplied according to the load.( should
maintain the frequency of the system in constant value. if
not the rotor speeds of the generators should go up or down
causing and destruction or stopping of generators )

how does the terminal voltage of transmission lines increase when a capacitor is connected???? This happens not only in transmission lines but also in all circuits. How??? When a capacitor is connected in a transmission line, capacitor also takes energy from the same supply. But how is it able to increase the terminal voltage??? Practically What sequence of events happen during increase in voltage???
