Why is the generator rating always in kVA and motor rating
in kW?
Answer Posted / k.sri405
generator is a power source so the load of generator is not
known it may either inductive or resistive or capacitive.
and power factor depends on load so it is rated in kva. but
motor itself is a load so it is rated in kw.
