for 1sqmm approximately max 4amps of current can pass we having the cross section of wires are 1,1.5,4,6,10 the amps carying capacity is sqmm x 4amps ,for 0.75kw motor the voltage applied is 440v so as we have p=vi formula by this current=power/voltage i.e 0.75*1000 watts/440=1.7amps so we use 1sqmm for this motor,same formula upto 5okw
