for 100sft of Cement plastering ratio 1:6 How much quantity
of cement and sand required.
Answer Posted / mohammed aijaz hussain
Let the thickness of Plastering be 12 mm.
Volume of Wet Mortar = 12mm X 100 sft.
= 12/ 1000 X 100/ 10.76
= 0.112 cu.m.
Add 20% for depressions, joints and wastage:
= 0.022 + 0112 = 0.134 cu.m.
Volume of Dry Mortar = 1.3 X 0.134 = 0.175 cu.m.
Cement required = 1/7 X 0.175 = 0.025 cu.m. = 0.71 Bag
Sand required = 6/7 X 0.175 = 0.15 cu.m.
