driving in a day. Average speed of forward journey is 40
miles/hour .
Due to traffic in sundays ,in return journey average speed
is 30mph .
How far he can select a picnic spot ?

formula avg speed=2xy/x+y; where x and y are the frwrd and
backward journey rspectively...
now,avg speed will be=2*40*30/40+30=34.285.
thrfore he can travel 34.285*8 in total=274.28 miles.
thn the picnic spot will be half the total
distance=274.28/2=137.14 miles.(ans)
