How many times a day a clock's hands overlap?

Some answers are so complicated. Why? Eric's answer is
good and simple. For the "special ed" kids - Another way
to understand is by ask the question ...
Q. How often do the hour and minute hands line up on a
clock?
A. Every hour and five minutes, (also known as 65 minutes)
They begin at 12, but by the time the minute hand goes
around once and gets back to the 12, the hour hand moved to
the 1, thus taking an additional five minutes to reach it.

Q. How many times a day does a clock's hands overlap?
A. 22 times each day.

One day is 24 hours.
1 Hour is 60 minutes. 60 x 24 = 1440
That means there are 1440 Minutes in every 24 hour/day.
The hands lap every 65 minutes.
65 / 1440 = 22 (22.15 exactly)
