63 MVA transformer how can calculate or consider the iron
losses and copper losses
Answer Posted / aamod tripathi
The Iron and copper losses are determined by tests only. It
is guaranteed parameter. If not met . the manufacturer has
to be imposed with a penalty calculated according to the
life of the transformer.
However as a thumb rule. 63 MVA transformer will have 1 -
2.5 % of no load + copper losses.
