thermal power station operation in general
Answer Posted / r.suresh babu
A Thermal power station which converts heat energy of coal
combistion into electrial energy is known as the thermal
power station or steam power station. It is basically works
o the "Rankine Cycle".some amount of steam is produced in
the boiler by utilising the heat of coal combustion. The
steam is expanded in the prime movers. The alternator which
converts mechanical energy to electrical energy in thise
power plant more available coal and water.Thise oeration is
known as the thermal power station.
*prim mover:-It is a nothing but one type of steam turbine
or alternator .
