No, If we do this nothing will happen motor rotor remain
stop on their stand still position, because single phase
supply does not produce revolving magnetic field which is
essential for rotating the rotor.
we can do this if we have two phase supply.we make open
delta connection by using two phase supply and gets 3 phase
supply and then we supplied it to motor 3 phase rotor.
