EPS stands for Earning per share, it is the return to the shares of the company. it can be calculated as
EPS=profit after tax-preference dividend/No.of Equity shares
The hirer the ratio is the better.

The management of the company wants to improve profitability further. The required rate of return of the company is 14 percent. The company is currently considering an investment proposal.
