hi I have done 3 yrs diploma in electrical engg after 10+2. I have 16 years of work experience into design proposals sales and engg application development in LV/MV swithcgear and sub station automation field. at work we have a 3 phase motor but on testing one phase isnt getting a reading. it runs 24 hours a day all week. stops and starts well no noise or heating. the phase isnt down to earth.is it just a bad meter reading or not? phases one and three came up with a resistance reading of 0.4 but phase 2 couldnt get anything shows up as open circuit.
In our plant we have installed new MCC with ELR and CBCT which is detecting some leakage current in the system but it leading to some confusion when to check that in which feeder which is drawing current we put off the whole panel itself but still CBCT detecting some leakage current so can anybody ans me , where i am going wrong or how to detect whether its actual leakage or CBCT malfunctioning.
